Interesting article.

Essentially, everyone panders to nerds these days, without wondering what made them nerds in the first place. It may be (topically) Star Wars, it may be the Blue Beetle. The problem is, too much time is spent catering to todays nerds without looking at the longevity of the whole thing. New things are needed to capture nerd imaginations,or we would never have moved beyond Star Trek. (Would that we had. We might have been spared its terrible decline then.)

I feel this has the beginnings of something. I may write more about it later. Until then, more wine. Yes. It pleases me to be able to drink more for the time being.
