For some inexplicable reason everybody seems to want to talk to me in Portuguese today...

Bad things today: Lack of ID, lost interviews and rejected graphic novels.Bah.

Good things: Artists falling over themselves to talk to me. You wait forever for one, etc...

Internet things that annoy me today: People who type '...just my $.02' at the end of comments. FUCK OFF. Also, [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes. Granted, there are some amusing quotes, but it's generally people saying 'Oooh, look, my friends are SOOO funny. I'm so cool because of them.' Bloody internet back slapping wank.

Yes, I know I don't have to read the metaquotes thing, but I normally see it over Jen's shoulder. It annoys me for some reason.

Rant over. Back to job hunting and attempting to write for money. It's about I actually stopped talking about writing for living and actually, you know, did something about it. I feel my lack of paying work may reflect the lack of submissions of late...

Straw poll: If offered paying work writing yaoi, should I take it. (I ask as there's a possibility of it in the air at the moment. And if you don't know what yaoi is, look it up. I can't be arsed to explain it to you.)

While I think of it, why are there so many ungodly talented Brazilian artists around? Is the lack of an ozone layer turning them into a group chiseled bodied mutant art gods?

I apologise for subjecting you to these ramblings. I shall return to be ill and complaining about the injustices of the world anon.

God help me, I can't stop reading through the Digital Webbing
forums. Specifically the creative forums. I know they're bad for me, but I can't help myself. I want to join and everything!

Please help. I'll be good, if someone will only save me from this horror.

ETA: Despite the ditraction, I am now past 2,000 words on a short story. This pleases me. People are to kick me if I stop writing and don't post something along the lines of 'Finlly finished the bastard submission and fired it off to Interzone' later this evening.

Futher to that, anybody who's thinking of submitting prose for publishing might find this site useful. I'm willing to bet that most people already know about it, but, just in case...

I have an odd urge to listen to 'Crack the Liars Smile' by Drain. (None of this 'STH' nonsense.) Even worse I really, really want to track down a copy of Mandylion by The Gathering. I think I've reverted back to 1997...

Agnostic Front playing now. Hmmm. I think I've spent enough time drug free, because I'm enjoying a good bit of rock and metal a lot more than EBM and bleepy stuff.

Recommend me metal, you fiends!

ETA: I've just found 'Strange Machines'! Hurrah! Now for more dodgy euro-metal. Here, Mercyful Fate...

I are goth, it appears. )

Hmm. I have almost finished the short story from earlier, and have done other things as well, and even applied for a few jobs and stuff. I shall make dinner in a bit, then write some more.

And West Ham make the play off final again. With a bit of luck, they might actually be able to win it this time!

'No time for love, Mr Toad!' ~ Jenny, just now.

Yaoi is looking likely. Hurrah!
